Our journey to Singapore began with a 4:30 a.m. wakeup call and a sleepy bus ride to the airport. At the airport we reentered SAS life as we met up with other trips and began the process of sharing our experiences with others. Ten days passed quickly, but left us with a wealth of memories, new friends, and a new-found confidence in our own abilities.
Overall this trip has been a very enriching experience. I learned more about myself, both physically and mentally, than I could have in any other setting. I never expected to be able to sleep under the stars or drink rainwater or canoe and abseil and camp out--any of those things. That I managed to get through the past nine days in one piece and in high spirits is somthing I'll never forget. The friendships and fond memories of the last nine days are more than enough to last a lifetime.
